National Hug Your Kid Day and Lollipop Day

July 20th is National Hug Your Kids Day!
It was founded by Michelle Nichols to remind all parents to stop and hug their kids - and everyone in their families. It's a feel-good holiday for all families around the world. It was started to honor her son Mark, who died suddenly in 1998 from brain cancer at age 8 1/2. "Hugs are fast, free and non-fattening," says Ms. Nichols. "A good hug can make your day - and change a life."

Had to add this because it cracks me up. Since I have a new infant in the house I have been calling her "My Burrito" because she is so snugly and sweet. Twitter Moms emailed this newsletter today...
Baby Burrito {bay-be bur-reet-oh}(n.) The fine art of excellent swaddling. It would not be considered a true baby burrito if the child can free themselves on their own free will. Made easier in recent years by the addition of Velcro to the swaddle blankets. -- Lisa Hustad
I love my Burrito. She is snuggled up with me right now!

My family left this week and it made me so sad. It was so great to have my Mom, Sister and Dad here. They were such a big help. Lily LOVES her little sister, Claire Suzanne and wants to "pet" her and hold her all the time. She says her name is "Puppy" because she makes little noises that sound like a doggy. I wish I could bottle all the sweetness. CS got a some beautiful gifts and I wanted to share a couple I thought were great ideas.

The pictures on the web really don't do them justice but they are really cute.
Lily got a lot of great "Big Sister" gifts which I thought was so thoughtful and she felt included and loved. Lots of Books about being a "Big Sister."
I also got a book called "This Little Piggy goes to Prada," by Amy Allen. A really funny book of nursery rhymes all about fashion...For examples "Hickory Dickory Dock, How Big is Mummy's Rock? Five Carats from Graff, so we can't pay the staff! Hickory Dickory Dock."

Lily also got a Cupcake Necklace from Tiffany's. It is so pretty and I have worn it a couple of times. Makes me want to eat lots of sweet things..but Mama is on a diet! www.Tiffanys.com
And of course who can have a baby with out a couple of silver spoons from Tiffany's ;)
Sarah Boyd Designs also sent them matching outfit which are the cutest I have seen. They will be posted to LLB ASAP.
Thanks to everyone for your love and support!
