Party Ideas: PotteryBarn and PotteryBarn Kids Rocks!

I love PotteryBarn.  They have the best styled magazine shoots and their website rocks.  Did you know that PotteryBarn and PotteryBarn Kids now offer tons of great party tips.  They have free printables, downloadable invitations, gorgeous table design photos, craft ideas, game ideas and more.

PBK has even hired Kim Stoegbauer from The TomKat Studio to style their kids parties. Here are a couple of my favorite styled parties of hers.

Free Thanksgiving Dinner Party Printables

I love the holidays. I especially love Thanksgiving because it is all about being with your family and friends without the gift buying pressure. This is a sneak peak of my Thanksgiving Table.

Backyard Birthday Bash!

 Both of my girls have summer birthdays so we threw them a joint  party over the weekend.  We live in the desert and it's super hot so our theme was a "Backyard Birthday Bash!"

 We had swimming, a slip and slide, a jumpy house, a snow cone machine, an ice cream cake and more... 

The printables gave it a modern Circus/Fair feel.  I used different fonts and colors.  It was fun not to be limited on color. 

We served corn dogs and chips (which went with our Circus feel).

The kids a blast and I did too putting everything together.

Succulent Garden!

Want an easy care free garden? 

How about adding some succulents to your backyard. This arrangement (minus the planter from Pottery Barn) cost me about about $80. I bought all the terracotta pots at the Home Depot or the Dollar Store.

  I made them look old by thinning out acrylic paint (black, brown, green in color) with water and painting the pots gently. 

I potted them with all different types of succulents.

And now I have a center piece on my outdoor table that will last me all through the hot summer with little maintenance.

Retro Candy Table-Repost

I love candy tables but sometimes they can get a little mundane. I saw this one over at Celebrations at Home and I loved its new spin. Loving the aqua and orange and its retro feel...what do you think?

I saw this tablescape about 1 week ago and it literally made my mouth hang open because it was so beautiful.   And think no one even got to use it because it was just for a photo shoot (so sad!)

I am drawn to it because of the contrast between the soft colors and natural textures and the pops of fuchsia and turquoises.  If I could do a redo on my wedding (my parents are so happy I can't ;) I would pick something every similar to this.

We were so honored to work with 944 Magazine on their first-ever wedding issue, and we were even MORE excited to have one of our clients,  Canvas and Canopy Events, create a custom tablescape just for their readers! Cortnie created a beautiful Marie Antoinette and peacock inspired tablescape at the Grand Del Mar for 944′s “Set the Scene” section and it turned out just beautiful!  I love all of the hot pinks and turquoises mixed with the golds in the peacock feathers . Great job to Joielala Photographie, Studio Fiore and Ceci New York for your talented contributions!
