Ice Cream Party

Wednesday, August 17, 2011

I haven't featured a party in a while bc I was getting a little bored with them but I saw this one over at Pen n' Paper Flowers and I thought it was so cute.  It is by Lisa Luebe of Creative Ink Productions.

The two things that set it apart for me where Ice Cream Cake Pops and the Cake.

What a lucky girl to have such a beautiful party thrown for her!
See all the details and find out how Lisa got inspired over at Pen n' Paper Flowers.

City Guides: Louis Vuitton

Tuesday, August 16, 2011

Did you know that Louis Vuitton now has its own social network/app called "Amble" that allows you document and explore cities throughout the world. You can even follow your favorite celebrities "Ambles" to find out what their "must do's" are in the city you are exploring.  You can add video, photos and more to document your travels.

The best part about this is the App is free.

"Amble" pairs perfectly with LV's cool set of city guides.  These guides not only look fabulous but have a ton of great resources in them.  Wouldn't this be such a great gift for someone who loves to travel.  Even if they never opened them, they would still look divine on a bookshelf.  Happy Travels!

Easy Summer Cobbler

Monday, August 15, 2011

My mom gave me this recipe when I first moved to California and it has become one of my easy, go to desserts. It is great for all the fresh fruits of the summer.

1 Cup of Flour
1 Cup of Sugar
1 Cup of Milk
1 Teaspoon Baking Powder
1 Stick of Salted Butter
3 Cups of Fruits Your Choice

For my fruit I like to use a mixture of blueberries, raspberries, and blackberries.  Peaches are good too.

Melt Butter in Oven until sizzling. Mix 1 cup sugar, 1 cup flour, 1 teaspoon baking powder and 1 cup milk.   Pour in pan over melted butter - DON'T STIR! Pour fruit on top and sprinkle with sugar. Cook at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.

Serve warm with vanilla ice cream.   Add a sprig of mint for decoration.
