Saturday, December 10, 2011
This came to my inbox the other day and I had to check it out. If my kids names were Suri, Honor or Pax I just might be tempted to buy all this up. It is so freaking cute. Could you imagine seeing a 5 year old rocking a Gucci purse? Maybe someone will do a cute knock off. To see the whole collection visit www.Gucci.com

Holy Hermes! World's priciest purse sold for $203,000
Friday, December 9, 2011
You know I am totally all over this. Hermes is my fantasy dream brand (maybe my husband is going to surprise me for Christmas)....but WOW! REALLY!?!?!?
I thought I would write my own blog post on this but the one written by Justin Fenner for Styleite just summed it up all too well...Check this out...
Holy Hermes! World's priciest purse sold for $203,000
The record-setting bag was sold to an anonymous collector.
By Justin Fenner, Styleite
Clearly not everyone in America is still feeling the strain of the recession. Early this week someone very, very wealthy bought a handbag for over $200,000 at an auction in Dallas, breaking the world record for the highest amount of money ever bid on a purse.
While the person who bought the handbag chose to remain anonymous, the bag itself is known all over the world. The pricey purse was an Hermes Birkin, easily one of the most iconic and expensive handbags ever made.Women’s Wear Daily reports the record-breaking model was made from shiny deep red crocodile skin and accented with 18K white gold and diamond hardware, and sold for exactly $203,150. Who needs a nice, solid, single family home when you’ve got style like that?
Hermes made the first Birkin bag for actress Jane Birkin in 1984, and since then it’s become an almost legendary piece of fashion history. Until April 2010, the bags were produced in such limited quantities that women who wanted them had to sign up for a wait list — and some of them waited for as long as six years before they were invited to make an actual purchase. The bags come in four sizes, all of which are lined with goatskin, and prices can vary wildly depending on the materials used on the exterior. But chances are, even the plainest of Birkins won’t sell for less than $8,000 to $10,000.
But even though the bags are expensive to begin with, this one took the cake. Even the auctioneers were surprised that the bag went for that much, saying “this was certainly an exceptional price, exceeding our highest expectations at every corner.”
If by “highest expectations” they meant “the boundaries of common sense and restraint,” then they’re absolutely right.

Last Minute Dessert?
Wednesday, November 23, 2011
I had this at a bridal shower a couple of weeks ago and it was delicious.
I needed a last minute, easy, no bake dessert for tonight and this is what I made.
Buy chocolate pudding, brownies, Heath Bars (crush them) , whip cream ( I did make this fresh).
Layer it all in a glass bowl starting with brownies first.
Done. Easy. Kids can help too!

Most Fabulous Wedding Dress Ever
Sunday, November 20, 2011
I saw this dress a while back in Vogue and I just wanted to touch it. I had heard about Dylan Lauren a couple years ago for her candy stores, Dylan's Candy Bar, so when in heard she was getting married and that her Dad (Ralph) was designing her wedding dress I was intrigued.
Let me say he did not disappoint.
What do you think?

Loving me some "Love Me Some Jesus"
Friday, November 18, 2011
I have a new favorite store its called The Old Try. It is a couple that grew up in the south and now live in Boston. I love these prints so much because I can relate to so many of the descriptions of their work...
Like this one....I have been to New Orleans many of times and have had many a late nights there and their description of "Love Me Some Jesus" just about sums it up....I ordered this for my house...
I had to say "Yes and No Ma'am" and "Yes and No Sir" to my parents all the way up until I got married...I can remember giving my mom attitude and
hearing my Dad saying all the way from upstairs "Yes Ma'am Laura!"
It changed my tone very quickly...
I did not order this one but should to put in our house to remind us to be respectful of one another...
I ordered this one because my Dad always says remember who you are and where you came from...
I love this one because my brother went to Ole Miss and if you ever have the chance to go for a football game you should...They have the most AMAZING tailgates ever. That is tough to say because I bleed Orange and Blue. Go Gators!
(Hopefully they will do a Florida print one day because even though we get left off of the "Southern" category sometimes...we are considered DIXIE too!)
Go check out The Old Try's website and blog!
You are sure to fall in love!

Baked Whole Apples with Oatmeal...Plus Gluten Free
Thursday, November 17, 2011
Apples remind me of Fall...My mom use to make us baked apples (on the stove) all the time growing up for dinner and I have always loved them.
I had this idea but couldn't quite find the right recipe so I made this up and I think they turned out great . These would be a great side for Thanksgiving and the best thing is you could make them the day before and then cook the day of....

Kids Thanksgiving Table-Repost
Wednesday, November 16, 2011
I have received so many comments about this because it made Tip Junkie last year
(I'm so grateful) that I'm reposting.
This was one of the first set of printables I ever made ;)
Happy Thanksgiving!
I am so glad that it is November. I am not a huge Halloween person. I like the actual night but not a big fan of the decor (not that into the colors.)
So we are moving on to my favorite holiday THANKSGIVING!
The idea for this table was for the kids to have fun, entertain themselves
while making it cute and festive at the same time.
while making it cute and festive at the same time.
You can download all the printables free for your Thanksgiving "Kids" Table.
I hope you like them ;)
What's Included:
Happy Turkey Day Banner
Invitations
Place Settings
Cones
Turkey Cut Outs
If you would like your place settings personalized please email me for pricing at info@lilyslaundryboutique.com
I used rolled paper as a the table cloth.
You can get at any art and craft store.
I got mine at Pottery Barn Kids.
Markers, beads, string and glue were all placed on the table so they could create before or after eating.
These cones are easy to make. You can fill them with anything.
Cut them out from the template and glue the side without "Happy Thanksgiving" on it and attach to back of "Happy Thanksgiving" side. All done ;)
My little helper LOVES popcorn! XOXO

Wednesday, October 26, 2011
You know I just love this!!!
Versace has done a whole collection for H&M. It debuts November 17th!
Most of the women's pieces are fabulous...
The mens ummm....let's just say I know my hubby is not that fashion forward.... *wink*wink*
I wonder if it will be as crazy as Missoni for Target.
I guess we will will see.

Neon Pumpkins.
Tuesday, October 25, 2011
I love spray paint. It is great for instant projects. I have had these molded pumpkins for a couple of years and I loved their shape but they are really boring so to follow through with my neon obsession I decided to spray paint them. It livened them up. I am going to use them for a centerpiece for a fall dinner party I am going to have.
You need.
Spray paint and painters tape.
How you do it.
I sprayed them both solid gold and then sectioned off the areas I wanted to accent with the painters tape and sprayed those areas.
You can create any design that you would like.
I did vertical and horizontal stripes.
Chevron would be cute too!
